Product overview
The STIHL KMA 80 R battery KombiEngine is a good choice if you want to carry out a variety of demanding domestic work in your home garden and be as flexible as possible. You can use it with many KombiTools. You can attach the required tool attachment from the STIHL KombiSystem to the shaft via the interface in just a few simple, tool-free steps using the quick-release coupling with tommy screw. As the first KombiEngine from the STIHL AK System runs very quietly, you can also use it in noise-sensitive areas.
The STIHL KMA 80 R is equipped with a powerful, brushless EC motor and is well-balanced so that you can conveniently operate it with various KombiTools. Depending on the application, you can adjust it directly on the control handle via a variable speed control with 2 speed settings. In ECO mode (level 1) for easier work, the KMA 80 R from STIHL has lower energy consumption, which extends the battery runtime. If you want to use full speed, simply switch to level 2 using the slide switch. Depending on the KombiTool attached, the speed adjustment can also be infinitely variable.
The loop handle with soft components allows you flexibility and freedom of movement, even in tight spaces. With the help of the quick-mounting system, you can easily adjust the handle to your height so that you have an ergonomic working position at all times.
If you want to work comfortably for longer periods, you can attach the STIHL basic harness, supplied as standard, to the rotatable eyelet. The optionally available STIHL protective foot protects the engine housing from contact with the ground and gives you an additional handle.

The practical control handle with speed control allows you to make the relevant adjustment without having to change your grip or pause work.
- LOOP HANDLE WITH BARRIER BAR: FOR SAFE WORK IN SMALL SPACES. The loop handle ensures good manoeuvrability of your power tool, even in confined spaces. The barrier bar protects you by ensuring your feet and legs cannot come too close to blades or mowing heads during work.
- DETACHABLE SHAFT: FOR COMFORTABLE TRANSPORT AND STORAGE. Thanks to the detachable shaft, you can quickly dismantle your power tool for easier transport, and also store it in a space-saving manner. You do not need any tools to disassemble the shaft.
- QUICK-RELEASE COUPLING WITH CLAMPING SCREW: QUICK ASSEMBLY OF KOMBITOOLS. Thanks to the quick-release coupling, the various KombiTools for your power tool can be connected and disconnected quickly and without tools.
- BATTERY COMPARTMENT IN THE MOTOR CASING: DIRECT POWER SUPPLY TO THE POWER TOOL. With this power tool, you can insert the required battery from the STIHL AP-System directly into the engine housing. This increases your mobility and flexibility when working.
- EC ENGINE: LOW-MAINTENANCE AND EFFICIENT. Thanks to its compact design, low weight and high efficiency, the EC engine enables you to work in an energy efficient manner. This engine also has a long service life.
