FAQ - Ask Us Anything
What size lawn mower do I need for my property?
For smaller blocks under 500sqm, a standard push mower is usually suitable.
For 500–1,000sqm, a self-propelled mower makes mowing easier and faster.
For larger properties, a ride-on mower may be more efficient.
Visit our Riverstone showroom and we’ll help match the right mower to your lawn size and terrain.
Are self-propelled mowers worth it?
Yes — particularly for larger blocks or lawns with slopes.
Self-propelled models reduce effort and provide a more consistent cut.
Do you stock push mowers in Riverstone?
Yes. We stock a range of petrol push and self-propelled mowers in-store. Availability varies, so we recommend calling ahead if you are travelling from outside Riverstone.
Do you stock Honda mowers?
Yes. We stock a range of Honda push and self-propelled mowers. Contact us to confirm current availability.
Do you sell ride-on mowers?
Yes. We stock a wide variety of ride-on and zero-turn mowers suitable for residential properties and larger acreage blocks.
What’s the difference between a ride-on mower and a zero-turn mower?
Ride-on mowers are ideal for larger residential lawns.
Zero-turn mowers offer superior manoeuvrability and faster mowing times, making them suitable for large or open areas.
Our team can advise on the best option for your property.
Can I inspect or compare mowers before buying?
Yes. We encourage customers to visit our showroom to compare models and receive practical advice before making a purchase.
Do you assemble mowers before pickup?
Yes. All mowers and ride-ons are professionally assembled, checked and prepared before handover.
You leave with a machine ready to operate.
Do you sell generators?
Yes. We stock portable and inverter generators suitable for home backup, trade and recreational use.
We carry models including Honda generators and other reputable brands.
What generator size do I need?
Generator size depends on what you intend to power. Smaller inverter generators suit light use and camping. Larger units are suitable for running multiple appliances or site equipment.
Our team can guide you based on your requirements.
Do you sell chainsaws and handheld equipment?
Yes. We stock chainsaws, brushcutters, blowers and other handheld outdoor power equipment from brands including Stihl.
Do you carry spare parts?
Yes. We stock genuine and compatible parts for major brands including Rover and others (subject to availability).
Do you provide after-sales support?
Yes. We service and maintain the equipment we sell and provide ongoing workshop support and parts availability.
Do you service the equipment you sell?
Yes. Our Riverstone workshop provides servicing for push mowers, ride-ons, chainsaws, generators and small engines.
How often should I service my lawn mower?
For residential use, we recommend servicing once per year.
For heavier or commercial use, more frequent servicing may be required.
Do you service commercial or contractor equipment?
Yes. We service residential and commercial outdoor power equipment. Contact us to discuss your requirements.
Do you offer delivery for ride-on mowers?
Delivery options may be available depending on location. Please contact us to discuss delivery within Riverstone and surrounding suburbs.
What hours are you open?
Monday–Friday: 9:00am to 5:00pm
Saturday: 9:00am to 12:00pm
Is there access for trailers and horse floats for ride-on drop-offs or pickups?
Yes. Drive down between us and the BWS bottle shop. Veer to the right and reverse towards the gates at the rear of our shop.
Please park safely and then come through the front of the shop to be attended to by our staff.
Can we come through the back of the shop?
Please bring all enquiries, push mowers and hand-held machines through the front entrance so they can be processed correctly.
If you are dropping off or collecting a ride-on mower, please still come through the front of the shop after parking at the rear.
