Choose the STIHL HSA 140 T Battery Hedge Trimmer from Riverstone Mower World for dependable equipment, authorised-dealer support and local servicing in Riverstone, NSW. Extremely powerful, robust professional battery hedge trimmer
Product overview
The STIHL HSA 140 T battery hedge trimmer delivers exceptional cutting performance for professionals in garden and landscape maintenance and municipal operations. With its double-sided cutting blades in a trimming configuration, this hedge trimmer is designed to produce clean, accurate cuts on shrubs and hedges.
The cutting blades operate at high speed for crisp results, even on thicker branches. You can choose from three stroke rate settings using the multi-function control handle, selecting between 3,900, 4,700 or 5,000 strokes per minute. The powerful EC motor maintains a consistent stroke rate even under heavy load, supporting efficient and reliable cutting.
The HSA 140 T is powered by a plug-in lithium-ion battery from the STIHL AP System, offering flexibility and long working times. With low noise and vibration levels, this hedge trimmer can be used comfortably without hearing protection, even in noise-sensitive areas. The rotating multi-function handle turns 90 degrees to the right or left, allowing for an ergonomically favourable position for vertical and horizontal cuts.
Friction-optimised blades help to extend battery life and reduce wear, while a screw-on cut protector and integrated tip protector support operator safety and protect the cutting attachment.
The STIHL HSA 140 T is available with a 60 centimetre or 75 centimetre blade length to suit different hedge types and applications. It is also ready for use with the STIHL Smart Connector 2 A, making it easy to integrate into your digital fleet management with STIHL connected.
All battery tools in the STIHL AP System are engineered for regular professional use in challenging outdoor environments. The HSA 140 T is certified as splashproof and has passed rigorous internal testing based on the IPX4 protection standard.

Key features
- Extremely powerful, robust professional battery hedge trimmer
- Individual tool without battery and without charger
- Extremely high-performance hedge trimmer with high blade speed for precise cuts
- Plug-in battery for greater mobility without connecting cable
- User-friendly rotating multi-function handle with adjustable stroke rate
- Double-sided cutting blades in the trimming version
- CONSTANT POWER: When using other brands of battery tools, the performance can sometimes decrease during work as the battery discharges. This isn't the case with STIHL battery-powered tools. Thanks to the intelligent electronics, your tool will work with consistently high power across the entire battery charge, until there is no energy left in the battery.
- TRIMMING VERSION: FOR OPTIMAL SHAPING AND FINE CUTS. Hedge trimmers in the trimming version are ideal for shaping and fine cuts for your hedges and shrubs. The blade geometry has a smaller tooth spacing and lower blade height, and the gear ratio ensures a high stroke rate. This means that even delicate work can be carried out cleanly.
- ROTATABLE MULTI-FUNCTION HANDLE: ERGONOMIC, COMFORTABLE WORKING. The rotatable multi-function handle enables precise and comfortable cutting with your hedge trimmer, both at your side and at head height. It can be rotated 90° to the left and right, and so is also suitable for left-handed and right-handed users. This means the power tool is always in the most ergonomically effective position in your hand.
- DOUBLE-SIDED CUTTING BLADE: FOR OPTIMAL HEDGE CUTTING. The double-sided cutting blade facilitates optimum hedge cutting: vertically, horizontally and in corners. Thanks to the double-sided cutting blades, you can effectively trim or prune your hedge – even those thicker branches.
- ADJUSTABLE BLADE-STROKE RATE: ADAPTABLE SPEED. With the 3-level adjustable blade stroke rate, you can select the right blade speed for every task. You can easily adjust the hedge trimmer using the control cockpit on the rotatable multi-function handle. As the control cockpit rotates with the handle, the switch is always within easy reach, regardless of the handle position.
- BLADE SCABBARD: FOR SAFE TRANSPORT AND PROTECTED STORAGE. Transport and store your hedge trimmer and shrub shears safely and securely with the tailor-made blade scabbard.
